Wintertime

Florida, USA

Born on the 4th of October, 1996 Florida rapper Wintertime (known earlier on as Wintertime Zi) came into the public view while still in his late teens through collaborations with like-minded mumble rap sensation Lil Yachty on late-2015’s Wintertime on a Boat EP. Combining lighthearted, surreal, and often ridiculous rhymes and pop-minded trap beats, Wintertime’s style was decidedly more melodic and breezy than some of his harsher trap contemporaries.

A 2016 mixtape, I Know What You Did Last Winter, featured a guest spot from iLoveMakonnen and a self-titled ten-track mixtape followed in 2017. Winter has released multiple mixtapes such as his earliest one "I Don't Play Defense" which was released on February 5, 2016.

However, he gained most of his buzz from features with artists such as Ugly God's single "Straight Like That" featuring Winter. He also garnered a-lot of attention from his joint album with Lil Yachty "Hey Honey Let's Spend Wintertime On A Boat", which featured many popular songs such as "Remember December"

Winter is known for disappearing off of social-media for a long period of time without any warning. He recently did this near the end of 2017, and has yet to make an official return.

He has made about five random Instagram posts after disappearing in 2017, with the most recent post being last month in January of 2020. Aswell as dropping one single "4 Door" which was released on July 09, 2018.

After dropping his first and only single since his disappearance, he was also featured on Ugly God's album Bump's & Bruises on the track "Tell Me How You Feel"; which was released on August 09, 2019.

Winter most recently claimed to be coming back to America in his most recent January 2020 Instagram post which has since been deleted, after stating he was in Iceland for the two years he has disappeared from Social Media.

Ugly God has stated that Wintertime will be dropping more music in the winter time season, which is hopefully his debut album. He has not made any more announcements on his plans to drop music but claimed in his most recent Instagram post that he will be dropping a book, which is most likely a troll. However it is very likely that he will be dropping new music or a project in the winter, due to his close friend Ugly God confirming that he will be releasing something during this time.
